SDH are subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing people . This acronym comes from Subtitles for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. There are several types of subtitles that offer different information.

Capté is the tool that simplifies subtitling for you. Designed for content creators, Capté offers an easy-to-use tool that saves you time and money.

With Capté, subtitle in the blink of an eye and expand your audience. Subtitling is about accessibility for everyone.

An automatic transcription

Capté allows you to caption easily with automatic subtitling. Automatic captioning is enabled by an artificial intelligence that uses voice recognition.

To use Capté, simply follow these simple steps:

  1. Register or login to your account
  2. Upload your video and select the audio language
  3. Voice recognition automatically transcribes the audio recording into subtitles
  4. Edit your subtitles, the automatic transcription isn't perfect but it's a consistent basis for subtitles.
  5. Stylize your subtitles if needed and if you want your subtitles inlaid in your video
  6. Export your subtitles then upload your subtitled video or your .srt

If you want sdh subtitles, you will have to incorporate sound information such as the fact that music is being played or sound effects made.

Capté subtitle audio videos in different languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Italian & much more. When you upload your video, select the language of the audio for efficient speech recognition.

An easy-to-use subtitle editor

Capté has created an intuitive and easy-to-use editor to make subtitling accessible to all.

The subtitle editor works like a Word document. To edit the text, simply click on it and type the corrections to be made.

And if you need to set the time code, simply press the arrows to adjust the subtitle display as precisely as possible. If a subtitle is too close to the previous one, an alert message will be displayed to tell you to change the time code.

The editor is composed of several tabs that show you step by step the tasks to be performed.

Automatic translation for an international scope

Capté also has a translation feature to allow you to easily and instantly translate your subtitles.

Capté offers more than 5 languages : English, German, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin Chinese... With this translation feature, you can reach a new audience and share your content with the world.

Exporting your video with subtitles or the .SRT file

Capté offers two options for exporting your subtitles:

  • Video with subtitle inlay: you can choose the style of subtitles you want for this option because the subtitles are directly integrated into the image. Be careful, however, if your video is of low quality and the image is blurred, your subtitles may also be blurred.
  • The .rt file: The .srt file is an external subtitle file. Thanks to it, you can add subtitles to a video even if it's already published. However, you will not have the choice of the subtitle style you want. The subtitles will automatically be blank. You can however add several .srt files to the same video: useful when you offer several languages.

Why choose Capté ?

Capté is:

  • Ease: Automated transcription saves you a tedious task. Subtitling becomes accessible to everyone, even those who have never done it before.
  • Time savings: Capté saves you time by automating the transcription process.
  • The style: define your subtitle style and save it for reuse at any time.

First, and not least, subtitles serve to make audiovisual content accessible to all. For example, people who cannot turn on the sound, people who do not speak the original language of the audio, or people who are deaf or hard of hearing can access the audio in your videos with subtitles.

Next, subtitles help you better reference your audio and audiovisual content. Indeed, algorithms rely on text and search for keywords to index the content. So transcribing audio into text and creating subtitles allows the algorithms to understand what is being said in your content. So, don't hesitate to integrate your keywords in your subtitles and transcripts even if they are not in your audio.

Subtitles create visibility and engagement. Subtitles are an asset for your audiovisual content intended for social networks. Indeed, on social networks, videos are launched in autoplay, subtitles will catch the eye and allow users to view your video without sound, so you will surely have more viewing and more engagement (likes, comments, sharing ...). Then, the more engagement your video receives, the more your video is made visible by the algorithms. It's a virtuous circle.

To edit subtitles, you need to have used an external subtitle file such as an .srt file. This makes the task easier. You can, for example, if you only want to change the text, open the file with the notepad and change the text and then save it again.

If you have used Capté to subtitle, just go to your profile. Click on the video you want to edit, change the text or time code in the editor, then re-export it and upload again.

We're different from anything you've tested so far.

So why not try it ?
